The Year 2008 gave us our first award. Now, Law & Politics and San Francisco Magazine have named us a "2009 Northern California Super Lawyer" in Immigration Law. It's quite an honor.
We've all heard that saying, success has 100 parents. So, thanks to my legal assistant, Stephanie Gutierrez, whose integrity, smarts and long time contribution have made a critical difference in the lives of our immigrant clients. Thanks also to our mega-talented new paralegal, Heidi Sermeno. She has, in a few short weeks, made a huge impact on the firm, allowing us to expand our legal services to even more immigrants. Simply put, Stephanie and Heidi are both dedicated, bright, and all around terrific.
I also have to offer my deepest gratitude to Merle Kahn, who in my book is also a Super Lawyer, and who has done phenomenal work on projects both big and small.
Lastly, I must thank our clients, who have placed their faith in us, and given us the chance to show what we're made of as lawyers and immigrant advocates.
